KOICA-Association of KOICA Fellows in Sri Lanka(AKOFE), School Equipment Donation

On the 9th of Nov., Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) holds donation ceremony at Dimbulkumbura vidyalaya in Rikillagaskada. The ceremony was conducted by AKOFE, the Alumni Association of KOICA Fellows in Sri Lanka.
To fulfill the KOICA’s vision “Leave no one behind”, AKOFE donated shoes, bags and exercise books for students in poor surroundings, and also printing machine, library books, bookshelves and maps to make a better educational environment.
KOICA Sri lanka Country Director Ms. Kang Youn Hwa, Vice president of AKOFE Mr. Roshan Serasinghe and other three AKOFE representatives, the school principal Mr. HMPP. Bogahakotuwe, teachers, parents and students attended to celebrate the event.
Ms. Kang addressed “Children are the hope for the development of a country, and I hope that this donation would be helpful to the future endeavors of students.” The principal Mr. Bogahakotuwe appreciated “I extend my deepest gratitude to KOICA and AKOFE for the donation, which are invaluable for our school and students.”
KOICA hopes that students in difficult condition in Sri Lanka would be able to study in better environment, and dream their future through this donation.
